Authors:

Summary:
On November 16, 2015 after the recent attacks by Isis on France, more than half of the United States governors, or 27 states, say they oppose letting Syrian refugees into their states. The announcements came after authorities revealed that at least one of the suspects believed to be involved in the Paris terrorist attacks entered Europe among the current wave of Syrian refugees.
Who:
Twenty-Seven of the United States Governors
What:
United States Governors are not wanting Syrian refugees to be accepted into their states.
When:
This has been an ongoing problem but was recently ramped up by the recent attacks on Paris. The announcement happened on November 16, 2015
Where:
United States
Why:
Leaders say they oppose taking in any Syrian refugees because they feel that there could be potential security threats mixed in. They do not want to have another attack like France.
Bias:
The article didn't seem that bias towards one side or the other. The article was from CNN and was more informative than bias. It gave peoples different sides and what they were saying but it informed both sides of the argument.
Democratic Value:
Equality, Common Good: The reason that the governors don't want the Syrian refugees in their country is because they want to prevent another attack from happening, like what happened in France. Equality, because although there may be a security risk, they can be welcomed because they are coming from a war zone and should be treated as people.
